A really lovely hotel, well equipped and with an excellent restaurant. It even has a Pub downstairs. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms clean and well equipped. The hotel looks 5 stars, but costs only 3 stars. Great value for money and ideal for a visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau.

I spent 3 nights in Krakau and 2 nights in Hotel Galicia. I was there with a group of 20 Germans attending the Inauguration of the University. We were a pretty loud and happy group but felt very much welcome and at home. Your staff was extremely friendly and professional, the food was excellent, the accommodations beyond reproach. I would recommend your hotel to anyone and will hopefully be able to come back soon.

Great hotel, very good, the patio, very good food in the restaurant, excellent breakfast, good prices. Recommend menu served, French President Jacques Chirac. Spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Parking inside free.

We rented the apartment... Spacious, air conditioned, well stocked. Breakfast was bountiful and the staff was first rate. We ate at the hotel every night, the staff was always busy but always had a smile and kind word. We absolutely will return. Thank you for making my daughter's first trip to Europe memorable!

Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Ample car parking. Spa facilities. Choice of Polish or Italian Restaurants. We chose the Polish which served excellent traditional food. Great breakfast spread.

Absolutely fabulous find to spend two days visiting Auschwitz (though one is sufficient). The hotel advertises as a resort and spa and it was indeed. The grounds are beautiful, charming, and quaint. We ate in both the pub and the main restaurant and both served excellent meals. Their breakfast included more than your typical European breakfast and this alone make this a great find for your money. If it had not, the price for the location, atmosphere, and food were fantastic. The spa environment is well done, though small. They've created a relaxing atmosphere with lights low, music serene, lounge chairs, heated floors, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms to enjoy. You pay extra to use the facility and for 20 Polish zl it's worth it. Took advantage of the spa and had a classic, one hour oil massage. Though small compared to most professional, resort smalls, they did a great job creating a luxury environment. If you are looking for a deep tissue massage this wasn't it, but the Polish massage was relaxing, soothing, and perfect after a day decompressing from the sites at Auschwitz. The room was warm, heated floors, excellent choice of relaxing music, and the therapist did a great job creating a relaxing environment. A must when you visit and you won't find a massage like this for the low cost in the states.

This hotel is probably not in great surroundings (mainly houses with flats) but that really doesn't matter. Inside it is very nice and stylish. The room was perfectly clean and quiet. Internet was available in all the areas where I went. I only ate at the Polish restaurant. Even though it was very quiet and I was concerned whether they would serve me at all, the service was quick and friendly. The quality and choice of food was excellent. In western Europe or the US you would certainly pay twice or more for both the accomodation and the food & drinks. The Italian restaurant seemed to be very popular. The Spa area is a bit small but there is everything you need. It was good to calm down a bit in the sauna after all the impressions from the Auschwitz concentration camp. If you want to walk from the hotel to the camp/ museum it takes around 1 hour (4.5 km) or 10 minutes by car. Ask for a map at reception as it is not very well signposted (at least if you want to walk). The old part of the town is also quite pretty and worth visiting.

Polish 5 star for us dirt cheap! Totally outstanding! Staff speak English and are helpful, good food and very cheap, the rooms are very clean and out of this world! Been there 2 times now and Deffo go back, even better when you spent all day at the camps and it's nice to go back and relax, very quiet and peaceful, and very posh, we thought we went to the wrong place at first! The breakfast is out of this world! Deffo go back!

A superb blend of a cosy hotel, friendly staff and excellent cuisine (Polish and Italian food, good wine list.) Some beds with worn out mattresses need to be changed, but apart from it this is the best hotel in the town.

Me and my Dad stayed here after visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial museum, as it is only about a ten minute drive away. Within our room rate we also received free breakfast, which was lovely and very European. We ate in the Italian restaurant at night; the food was absolutely gorgeous and extremely cheap! The hotel also has a Polish restaurant should you want to try the local cuisine. I had a single room which was of an average size but very well kept. The location isn't brilliant, however it was perfect as a place to stop after visiting the Auschwitz Memorial.

We stayed at the Galicja during our visit to Auschwitz base don its good reviews, and it did not disappoint. The hotel kindly arranged to have their driver pick us up at Katowice airport. as he didn't speak English, he was kind enough to get his English-speaking son on the phone to help answer our questions. (Once at the hotel all of the staff we dealt with spoke English). Arriving late, just minutes before the Polish restaurant was closing, the very kind waiter/maitre d' (wish I had noted his name), was happy to serve us a delightful dinner of some of the best roast duck and goulash we have ever tasted. We returned the next night for an equally sublime dinner and impeccable chocolate souffle. Our room in the newer part of the hotel was roomy, modern and cozy. We took advantage of the spa for some massages after a long day visiting the camps. When leaving, we were sad to think that visiting the camps might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and immediately began trying to come up withe excuses to visit this wonderful establishment again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with a cab driver and they did everything they could and more, to resolve our issue. They were very prompt, professional and friendly. Our room was large and clean and looked very nice. For some reason the air was not turned on in our room and they had it working in 15 minutes. The food was great. We had breakfast and dinner there. It was wonderful at a good price. We would stay there again.
